Coffee Springs is a town in Geneva County, Alabama, United States. It is located in the southeastern part of the state, about 90 miles southeast of Montgomery, the state capital. As of the 2010 census, the population of Coffee Springs was 732. The town was named for the many natural springs in the area, which were thought to have health-promoting properties. Coffee Springs was incorporated as a town in 1906. Coffee Springs is located in the Wiregrass Region of Alabama, an area known for its abundant natural resources, including timber, livestock, and crops such as peanuts and cotton. The town is home to a number of small businesses, including a feed and seed store, a hardware store, and a post office. The town is served by the Coffee Springs School, which serves students in grades K-12. There are also a number of churches in the area, including Baptist, Methodist, and Pentecostal denominations. Coffee Springs is located near the Pea River, which offers opportunities for fishing and other outdoor recreation. The town is also located near the Conecuh National Forest, which covers over 200,000 acres and offers hiking, hunting, and other recreational activities.
