Camp Hill is a town in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, United States. It is located along U.S. Route 280, approximately 15 miles northwest of Auburn. The town was named after the nearby Confederate army camp established during the Civil War. As of the 2010 census, the population of Camp Hill was 557. The town is located in the southeastern part of the state, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The climate in Camp Hill is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town is home to several small businesses, including a post office, a bank, a grocery store, and a few gas stations. There are also several churches, a volunteer fire department, and a community center. Camp Hill is located near several recreational opportunities, including the Talladega National Forest, which offers hiking, camping, and fishing. The town is also close to Chewacla State Park, which features a lake, a beach, and a campground. In terms of education, Camp Hill is served by the Tallapoosa County School District.
