Bridgeport is a city in Jackson County, Alabama, United States. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, about 25 miles northwest of Fort Payne. The city was incorporated in 1891 and has a population of about 3,700 people. Bridgeport is home to a number of local attractions, including DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, and the Noccalula Falls Park and Campground. The city is also home to a number of recreational and cultural facilities, such as the Bridgeport Public Library, the Bridgeport Civic Center, and the Bridgeport Golf Club.
