Trenton is a small city located in Gilchrist County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of Trenton was approximately 2,200 people. It is located about 30 miles west of Gainesville and 35 miles north of Ocala. Trenton was incorporated in 1894 and named after the capital of New Jersey. It has a rich history and is home to several historic sites, including the Old Trenton Cemetery and the Suwannee River State Park.
