It is a fast-growing suburban community that is situated southeast of Tampa and south of Brandon. Riverview is bordered by Gibsonton to the south, Brandon to the north, and the Alafia River to the west. The community has a total area of 30.4 square miles, of which 30.3 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.
