Holmes Beach is a city on Anna Maria Island, located in Manatee County, Florida, United States. It is the largest of the three island communities on Anna Maria Island and covers an area of 1.84 square miles. The city was incorporated in 1950 and named after John E. Holmes, who homesteaded the area in the late 1800s.
