It is a suburb of Pensacola, the county seat of Escambia County. Geographically, Ferry Pass is located in the northern part of Escambia County and borders Pensacola to the south. It is situated between the Escambia Bay to the south and the Blackwater River State Forest to the north. The area is primarily residential, with a mix of single-family homes, apartments, and townhomes.
