Fellsmere is a city located in Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is situated in the eastern part of the state, about 15 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean. The city has a total area of 20.6 square miles, of which 20.3 square miles is land and 0.3 square miles is water. The history of Fellsmere dates back to the early 1900s, when it was founded by E.N. Fell and other investors as an agricultural settlement. The area was known for its fertile soil, and citrus groves and vegetable farms soon became the mainstay of the local economy.
