Edgewater is a city located in Volusia County, Florida, United States. It is situated on the east coast of Florida, along the Indian River and the Mosquito Lagoon. As of the 2020 census, the population of Edgewater was approximately 24,000 people. History: Edgewater was originally settled in the late 1800s as part of a larger community called Hawks Park. In 1924, the area was incorporated as a separate town and named Edgewater. Over the years, the city has grown and developed into a thriving community with a strong economy and a variety of amenities.
