Cape Canaveral is a cape located in Brevard County, Florida, USA, on the Atlantic coast of central Florida. The area is known for its association with space exploration, as it is the location of the Kennedy Space Center, which is the launch site for many manned space flights and unmanned rockets. The history of Cape Canaveral dates back to the 16th century, when Spanish explorers discovered the area. In the 1940s, the US government began using the site for rocket testing, and in 1958, NASA was established, and the site was renamed the John F. Kennedy Space Center.
