Baldwin is a town located in Duval County, Florida, United States. It is situated approximately 20 miles west of Jacksonville, the largest city in Florida. The town has a population of around 1,400 people, according to the most recent U.S. Census Bureau estimate. Baldwin was incorporated in 1925 and named after a local businessman, James Baldwin. The town has a rich history dating back to the late 1800s when it was a hub for the Florida East Coast Railroad. Baldwin played an important role in the transportation of goods and people across Florida, and it still maintains its railroad heritage today.
