West Menlo Park is a census-designated place (CDP) located in San Mateo County, California. It is situated in the western part of the county, just north of the cities of Menlo Park and Palo Alto. The CDP has a total area of 1.5 square miles, all of which is land. As of the 2020 census, the population of West Menlo Park was 4,310. History: West Menlo Park was originally a rural area with dairy farms and orchards. It was developed in the 1950s and 1960s as a residential area with suburban-style homes. Today, it is a primarily residential community with a few small commercial areas.
