Weldon is a small unincorporated community located in the southern part of Kern County, California, in the United States. It is situated in the Tehachapi Mountains, about 20 miles southeast of the city of Lake Isabella. The town is located on the eastern edge of the Sequoia National Forest, providing residents and visitors with access to a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. The history of Weldon dates back to the mid-1800s when the area was primarily used for ranching and mining. In the early 1900s, the community became a hub for the timber industry, and the town grew as a result of the influx of workers and their families.
