Tustin is a city located in Orange County, California, United States. It is located in the heart of Orange County and is bordered by the cities of Irvine, Santa Ana, Orange, and unincorporated land. Tustin has a population of approximately 82,000 residents and covers an area of 11.1 square miles (28.7 km²). History: The city of Tustin was founded in the late 1800s by a group of pioneers who had come to California in search of gold. Instead of finding gold, they discovered the fertile soil of the Santa Ana Valley, which was perfect for growing crops such as oranges, lemons, and avocados. The area was named after Columbus Tustin, a carriage maker from the East Coast who had purchased 1300 acres of land in the area.
