Round Valley is a small unincorporated community located in Inyo County, California, in the United States. It is situated in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, near the border with Nevada, and is part of the Owens Valley region. The area around Round Valley was originally home to the Paiute and Shoshone Native American tribes. In the late 1800s, settlers began to move into the area, attracted by the fertile land and the abundant water supply provided by the nearby Round Valley Reservoir.
