It is situated in the Antelope Valley region, which is located in the northern part of Los Angeles County and the southeastern part of Kern County. As of the 2020 United States Census, Rosamond has a population of approximately 20,000 people. The town is primarily residential, with a mix of single-family homes and apartment complexes. The majority of the residents work in nearby cities, such as Lancaster or Palmdale, which are located about 10 miles to the west.
