Raisin City is an unincorporated community located in Fresno County, California, United States. It is located approximately 13 miles southwest of Fresno and is situated along State Route 180. Raisin City was founded in the late 19th century as a railroad stop for the Central Pacific Railroad. The community was named for the nearby raisin vineyards, which were an important crop in the area at the time. Today, Raisin City is a small community with a population of around 165 people, according to the 2020 United States Census.
