Olancha is a small unincorporated community located in Inyo County, California, United States. It is situated on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in the Owens Valley, at an elevation of about 3,900 feet (1,190 meters) above sea level. Olancha is located about 200 miles north of Los Angeles and 60 miles south of Bishop, the county seat of Inyo County. Olancha has a population of around 200 people and is known for its picturesque landscape and outdoor recreational opportunities. The town is surrounded by mountains and is located near the Olancha Peak, which has an elevation of 12,123 feet (3,695 meters). The area around Olancha is also known for its hot springs, including the Keough Hot Springs, which is located about 20 miles south of Olancha.
