Norco is a city in Riverside County, California, United States. The city has a population of approximately 26,000 people and covers an area of 14.4 square miles (37.3 square kilometers). History: The name "Norco" is an abbreviation of "North Corona," as the city was originally part of the larger city of Corona. Norco was incorporated as an independent city in 1964 to avoid annexation by neighboring cities. Geography: Norco is located in the western part of Riverside County, approximately 45 miles (72 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. The city is bordered by Corona to the south, Eastvale to the west, and unincorporated areas of Riverside County to the north and east. The Santa Ana River flows through the northern part of the city.
