Myrtletown is a small community located in Humboldt County, California, United States. It is situated near the larger city of Eureka and is a part of the Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna metropolitan area. History: Myrtletown was established in the late 19th century and was named after the myrtle trees that grew in the area. The community was originally a part of the larger Eureka Township but was incorporated as its own town in the 1950s. Today, Myrtletown is an unincorporated community within Humboldt County.
