Meiners Oaks is a small unincorporated community located in the Ojai Valley, in Ventura County, California, United States. It is situated about 70 miles northwest of Los Angeles and about 13 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Meiners Oaks has a population of approximately 3,000 people, and it covers an area of around 1.6 square miles. It is bordered by the city of Ojai to the east, the community of Mira Monte to the west, and the Los Padres National Forest to the north. The area was first settled by Europeans in the mid-19th century. The community is named after a German immigrant named John Meiners, who purchased land in the area in the 1870s. Meiners established a successful fruit and nut farm, and the community grew around his ranch.
