Marysville is a city located in Yuba County, California, in the United States. It is located in the Sacramento Valley, at the confluence of the Yuba and Feather Rivers. The city has a population of approximately 12,000 people, and it is the county seat of Yuba County. History: Marysville was founded in 1843 by John Sampson, a Canadian who had come to California during the Gold Rush. The city was named after his wife, Mary, and became a major trading center for the mining towns in the Sierra Nevada foothills. In the mid-19th century, Marysville was one of the largest cities in California, and it served as a major transportation hub for goods and people traveling to and from the gold fields.
