Lake Isabella is a small town in the Kern River Valley region of California, located about 40 miles east of Bakersfield. The town is situated on the southern shore of Lake Isabella, a reservoir created by the construction of the Isabella Dam on the Kern River. Lake Isabella is a popular destination for outdoor recreation, particularly fishing, boating, and hiking.
