Inglewood is a city located in southwestern Los Angeles County, California, United States. It has a population of around 109,000 people and covers an area of approximately 9 square miles. History: Inglewood was originally settled by the Tongva Native American tribe. The city was later founded in the late 19th century as a stopping point on the Los Angeles and Independence Railroad. In the early 20th century, Inglewood became known for its oil fields and aviation industry. During World War II, the city was home to the North American Aviation plant, which produced aircraft for the war effort.
