As of the 2010 census, the population of Ashford was 2,212. Ashford is the home of Ashford High School, which serves students in grades 9-12. The town is also home to Wallace Community College, which offers associate degrees and technical programs. Ashford is located in a region known for its agriculture, with peanuts and cotton being two of the main crops grown in the area.
