Groveland-Big Oak Flat is an unincorporated community located in Tuolumne County, California, in the western United States. It is situated on State Route 120, which is also known as the Tioga Road, just outside the western entrance to Yosemite National Park. The community is a result of the merging of two adjacent communities: Groveland and Big Oak Flat. Groveland is the larger of the two and is situated on the south side of the Tuolumne River, while Big Oak Flat is on the north side. The two communities are separated by a steep, winding hill that has been called Priest Grade. The area is primarily rural, with many farms and ranches in the surrounding foothills.
