Concord is a city located in Contra Costa County, California, United States. It is situated about 29 miles east of San Francisco and has a population of approximately 130,000 people. The city was originally founded in 1869 as the village of Todos Santos, and was later renamed Concord in 1905. It was primarily an agricultural area until the mid-20th century, when it became a suburban residential community.
