Ardmore is a town in Limestone County, Alabama, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of Ardmore was 1,266. Ardmore is located in the northwest corner of Alabama, near the Tennessee border. It is situated about 15 miles northwest of Athens and about 25 miles southeast of Huntsville. The town is located along State Highway 53, which connects it to other nearby cities and towns. Ardmore has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Paleolithic era. The town was founded in the late 1800s and was named after Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Ardmore is home to a number of local businesses and industries, including manufacturing and agriculture.
