Anniston is a city in Calhoun County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Calhoun County and is located in the northeastern part of the state. As of the 2010 census, the population of Anniston was 23,106. Anniston has a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and cool winters. The city is home to several points of interest, including the Anniston Museum of Natural History, the Berman Museum of World History, and the Anniston Civil Rights and Heritage Center. Anniston is located near several major highways, including Interstate 20, which runs east-west through the city, and U.S. Route 431, which runs north-south. The city is also served by the Anniston Metropolitan Airport.
